After lying in the cans for almost two years, Lingusamy Ji starring Ajith hit the theatres a couple of weeks back.

Though the movie had a phenomenal opening at the box office, it does not seem to be sustaining it.

Now the blame game seems to have started. Many accept that the delays in its making has had a toll on the movie.

Asked for the reason for delay in its making, Lingusamy says, "I am not to blame for the delay. Soon after I completed my Run, I accepted this offer. The producers 'NIC Arts Chakravarthy' should take the blame for the delay. Financial problems led to the delay in shooting the movie. I was like a scapegoat in the hand of butchers".

The financial troubles resulted in a chain reaction and there were a lot of hiccups during the making of the movie.

Asked if Ajith was also a reason for the delay, Lingusamy emphatically says 'No'.

"Since there were problems in the production side, he had to take a break and concentrate on his Attagasam then. He never interfered in my job and did what I demanded from him on the screen".

Despite all the problems, Lingusamy is pleased on one aspect.

"Though there are several opinions on my Ji, I am happy that Ajith, his wife Shalini Ajith and his family members have appreciated my work after seeing the movie".

That's good enough encouragement for this young director.
