Sravana Masam, the film by Posani Krishna Murali, has a caboodle of cast. They say there are around 50 well known actors and actresses.

But among the half-century, only one is very anxious. And for obvious reasons too.

Well, Gazala, the actress we are talking about, has entire hanging on the tenuous and thin thread of hope that the film has offered her.

Gazala's career has been more chequered than the flag that they show at the end of every car race. Gazala started her career promisingly. She had a good acting technique and nice figure ---beauty and brains, you could say.

But somehow the career never took off the way she wanted. Quickly it fell apart at the seams. She had one tragic suicide attempt. Then she has been linked to a businessman's son.

Gazala now wants to put everything behind her back now.

"What's there in talking about the past," is her reasoning.

She is very eager about the future, however. And the future is hinged on Sravana Masam (and a Tamil film).

The film has her playing a village belle. "It is not a glamour role," is what she says. But there will plenty of fun and mirth in the role.

Gazala is pitted against a new hero (Karthik). She has no hassles acting with a debutant. After all, she herself was one at one point.

But she also says she plays every film as her first one.

Starting fresh, as they say.
