It is not every day that Rajnikanth, the de facto numero uno in Kollywood, comes under fire from fellow artistes.

But Nasser, the serious actor with a sensitive side to him, is not one who cares about reputations. Nasser is somebody who talks his mind out.

And that's what he did at a recent function in Chennai.

Though speaking in general terms, the character actor took potshots at the superstar by making fun of the latter's fetish for going to Himalayas. Though Nasser didn't take names, he indirectly pointed what's is the point in one going to Himalayas. "Does it solve any problem?" he asked rhetorically.

He also told the public to not get carried away by mere style. "It is sad that people here accept even somebody who speaks Tamil very badly in the name of style".

This is not the first time that Nasser is taking shots at Rajni. In his film Mugam, where Nasser played a matinee idol, he made scathing remarks on the star system in existence in filmdom. "In the name of image, stars are shortchanging the gullible public,' he had said.
