It is highly unlikely that any hero in Kollywood or any other industry will attempt to play a role that the great Kamal Hassan played in the original. But surprisingly not a hero, but a heroine Trisha is on the verge of doing the impossible by replacing Kamal Hassan in a classic remake.

Kalyanaraman` is a 1979 film in which Kamal played dual roles as brothers and one of the roles is that of a mentally retarded man who is killed by greedy relatives and his ghost goes out to find his long lost brother to seek revenge. The gender of the protagonists is going to be changed and Trisha will play the dual roles as sisters. The film is reportedly produced by Trisha`s manager Giridharan. It will be interesting to see how Trisha fares as Kamal Hassan.
