After a string of failures, actor Vijayakanth tasted success in Engal Anna released last year. The movie was a remake of Malayalam blockbuster Chronic Bachelor that starred Mammotty in the lead role.

Vijayakanth, Prabhu Deva, Vadivelu and Pandiarajan played the main roles.

The comedy involving Vijayakanth and Pandiarajan was much talked about. Both won plaudits for their roles

Now the duo wants one more tilt at glory.

'Captain's next film is Perarasu directed by a debutant Udhayan. Vijayakanth plays a CBI officer in the movie.

Guess who is playing the constable to this officer?

Well, it is Pandiarajan. The comedy involving Vijayakanth and Pandiarajan would be the highlight of the movie, says Udhayan.

For Pandiarajan, who has seen his own films come a cropper, this is time for reinventing himself as comedy sidekick.
