'Mankatha', 'Arrambam' and 'Yennai Arindhal' have an interesting similarity. All these three movies have Ajith playing a police officer who is no more in service.

While he has played a suspended cop in 'Mankatha', his 50th film, Ajith's role in 'Arrambam' was an ATS (Anti Terrorism Squad) officer who was sent out of service due to a plot.

And in 'Yennai Arindhal', his latest film which hit the screens on Friday, the 'thala' plays a police officer who takes a break during the middle of his career, due to unforeseen circumstances in his life.
