Now that 2004 has been put to bed, Tollywood is all set to get into action mode straightaway.

Hot competition starts in two weeks time itself. Come Sankranthi, many stars will pit themselves against each other. The Sankranthi releases, have plenty of big names. Among those in running are NTR Jr, Pawan kalyan, Sumanth and Siddharth.

Venky's Sankranthi has pulled out of the race.

The highest expectation is on Balu ABCDEFG, starring Pawan. With the actor enduring a bad run with Johnny and Gudumba Shankar, this has to be his make or break film. He has put his best for the film.

NTR Jr's Naa Alludu and Sumanth's Dhana 51 would be on expected lines (masala pot-boilers).

The dark horse in the race, according to everyone, is Prabhu Deva's directorial debut Nuvvustanante Nenoddantana. Sdtarring Siddharth and Trisha in the lead, the film has been produced by M S Raju. The songs are already a major hit. And that has lead to heightened expectations.

So a battle royale is on cards.

Looks like, Tollywood is getting into the swim of things in right earnest.
