After creating his first and solo hit in Shikaar' which had Mohanlal in the lead role, director M Padmakumar is planning to team up with him soon. Titled 'Kanal',the movie will have Lal in the central role in this out and out action entertainer. The movie makers are also providing an opportunity for the audience to suggest an young actor, who could play a role that share much camaraderie with the character played by Mohanlal in the movie.

The movie is said to be revolving around two individuals who live with revenge-filled minds. The movie has the tag line 'Every end has an old beginning' . Padmakumar who made five films post Shikkar' hasn't been able to convert even one of them into an appreciable hit. Naturally, the director will be looking for another big break with this Lal film.
