Suriya's 'Face' saved in the nick of time

News started spreading like wildfire yesterday when it was said that actor Suriya too had jumped on the social networking bandwagon by starting his own page and getting verified. Fans were quick to look up and 'Like' the page to get updated and share the news.

However, a spokesperson for Suriya has come out with a clarification statement saying the Facebook page account that had been created was indeed a fake one and not opened by Suriya. He further went on to say that few mysterious individuals were behind this act and has requested those who were following the page to stop following. As of now, the page has been reported to the cyber crime and those behind the act shall be apprehended by the law.

In addition, he also went on to say that Suriya doesn't have any account in either Facebook or Twitter and that he'd let know his fans beforehand in a statement if he were joining any social; networking sites. After this statement, it had been confirmed that the page account that had been created yesterday was indeed a fake one.

Almost everyone is on Facebook and Twitter now - be it the Common Man or the Prime Minister of our country. Suriya's fans too are eagerly waiting for their star to announce his arrival on either of these sites so that they can stay updated on hsi developments. Let's see if Suriya fulfills his fans' wishes!
