Hair today, gone tomorrow

It is almost a fetish among Tamil heroes.

To lose hair for films is considered lucky in Kollywood circles.

Kamal Haasan does it every second film. Sathyaraj did it for his Nooravuthu Naal and Amaithi Padai, while Sarath Kumar did the same for his Suriyan and Dhanush all set to do it for his Oru Kanaa Kalam. The tonsure of the head brought success for Sathyaraj and Sarath Kumar.

Following their foot-steps, it's gonna be Surya's turn to tonsure his head for Mirattal to be directed by Murugadoss. Vikram had reportedly declined to act in Mirrattal for he had to tonsure his head. If anything, he has been sporting a hirsute look for Shankar's Anniyan. Vikram, of course, had cut his hair for Sethu.

So the offer went to Surya, the most happening star in Kollywood these days. Surya has reportedly given the go ahead to it.

Hope he emulates Vikram, Sarath Kumar and Sathyaraj.
