One of the greatest successes of recent times points straight to Ilayathalapathy's Diwali treat, 'Kaththi'. The film opened to such rave reviews and is consistently spoken high of that, film industries from other languages have their eyes keen on 'Kaththi' to take such a sure-shot success story to their audience. The first to come forward was Tollywood, and it was buzzed that Pawan Kalyan will play the lead in the film's remake. However, since final verdict was impending from Pawan, it was finally decided that 'Kaththi' will be dubbed in Telugu. But, it still is different in Telugu from what the original movie is, in Tamil.

For Kollywood fans, 'Kaththi' runs to almost three hours, at 2 hours and 46 minutes. But this will be trimmed down by 20 minutes for Tolly audience. It is reported that dubbing work is in full swing for Telugu 'Kaththi' and the film will hit the silver screen in the last week of this month.
