Prasanna has his own share of hits and misses, but he has always remained an admirable actor in his career spanning more than a decade. Especially his penchant for novel scripts ant different roles and guts to don a completely negative role in director Myskkin`s cult film Anjaathey` has placed him in a respectable position.

Recently Prasanna started speaking about starting a production house along with his actress wife Sneha, to encourage new talents. Now we here that the talented actor has decided to wear the director`s hat as well. It is said that after listening a few stories for producing a film he himself has decided to direct one. And even in directing, Prasanna is going to do something which is a rare phenomenon in Tamil cinema. Prasanna won`t be testing waters in writing. He has decided to get a script from upcoming writers.

It is to be noted that the recent super hit film Madras` had a writer J.P.Chanakya working in the script department along with director Pa.Ranjith. Mani Ratnam had made prominent Jeyamohan write the story, screenplay and dialogues for his 2013 film Kadal`, though Mani also worked in the script department and the duo was jointly credited for story and screenplay. Now Prasanna is going to do his part as a producer cum director to open the avenue to dedicated script writers who need not concentrate on other departments of film-making.
