Quite contrary to popular belief, heroines are loathe to act in big heroes films. The reason? Most of them feel that they will get a raw deal. Not only the remuneration will be less but also the big hero will get to hog the screens.

This is one of the reasons why Simran walked out of Chandramukhi. Sources say that though she initially agreed to do the film, once in the shooting she felt that she might be overshadowed. For an actress on a comeback, this was not something acceptable.

Such reasons are also behind the difficulty that Kamal Haasan is facing in getting a suitable heroine for his movie Mumbai Express. Initially, Tabu was to play the female lead in the film. Then they said it was Bipasha Basu. Then it moved on to Kajol. Now, the needle has stopped with Manisha Koirala.

Manisha has worked with Kamal in Indian and Ala Vandhan. Since she is also out of currency in Bollywood, she may jump at the offer.

As of now she is the heroine. But there is no guarantee that it will stay that way.
