Actor and director Pathipan is glowing in the success of his recently released Kadhai Thiraikadhai Vasanam Iyyakkam and it is said that he is ready for his next film, but as an actor this time. He is going to enter the Kannada film industry with a film, Dada directed by Santhosh who is well known for his Gombegala Love movie.

"I have been approached by Kannada filmmakers for the past 10 years, but this film seemed just right. It is called Dada and I play the protagonist," says Parthipan. He also added that the late actor Vishnuvardhan was one of the major reasons he chose to do this film. "I know that Vishnuvardhan has also done a film that was titled Dada. I love his style. Along with the script, this was another reason I felt was apt for me to do this film," he said.

Parthipan also said that his favourite films are the Upendra movies. "I have seen almost all his films. I have done Malayalam films and I have an audience there now. My reason to do a Kannada film is selfish. I want a market in Bangalore and Mysore for my Tamil films through my Sandalwood debut," he says.

We wish him all the success in his debut in Kannada!
