Sethu aka Assault Sethu` of Jigarthanda` is one name that is being uttered by every Tamil film buff around. The actor who played the role in way making it the most cherished one of the recent years, Simha has been waiting for the role for more than a couple of years.

In a recent interview the actor who has already made a mark as a person who builds a temple for Nayanthara in Soodhu Kavvum` and the menacing indigenous money lender in Neram` has said that he voluntarily approached Karthi to play the Madurai based don character.

Karthick Subabraj was planning to make Jigarthanda` as his first film and Simha had met him and placed a request to offer him the role. However Karthi felt that the role was very powerful for SImha to carry at that stage. However Simha could not set aside his yearning to don Assault` Sethu. After two years when Karthick took up Jigarthanda` script after delivering the super hit film Pizza` Simha again met the director and asked him for the role. Karthick could not refuse this time and finalized him for the role. Simha credits Neram` director Alphonse Puthiran for letting Karthi know Simha`s obsession with Assault Sethu.

The stupendous box office success and super positive response that has been garnered by Jigarthanda` would well replace the words needed to describe how worth is Simha`s wait and Karthick`s decision to cast him in the role he has been yearning for.
