G.V. Prakash Kumar made his debut with 'Veyil' and within 8 years he has successfully composed of more than 25 films. His BGM score in 'Gangs of Wasseypur' was widely praised and took him to Bollywood as well. Apart from composing, he often renders his voice for other music directors too. With 'Madhayanai Kootam' he stepped into movie production and he will be making his debut as hero in 'Pencil'.

Even before finishing his debut project as a hero, G.V has singed two more movies, 'Trisha Illena Nayanthara' & 'Darling'. While answering to his move to act in multiple movies, he said, Rajni had advised young actors to undertake multiple movies at a time in an audio launch way back, so, they can recover immediately if any one of their ventures go down as a flop. Well, unlike the lead actors, G.V. Prakash has certainly got a clear plan to reach his destination by taking the Superstar's advice seriously.
