Simbu is synonymous with trouble. At least for the pen pushers in Kollywood. Just yesterday this site carried the news item that his much-hyped Thotti Jaya is on the verge of being shelved.

And his other big venture Manmadhan too is facing problems.

So one would expect Simbu to be very tetchy and aggrieved. Far from it, the up and coming hero is relaxed. The only tension is profession related.

Silambarasan, who plays the lead role in Manmadhan besides penning the story and screenplay, says, "it's my dream project. I want this to come out very well. So far it's so good. The movie has created expectations among masses for I have acted opposite Jyothika and the movie has huge star cast'.

When he says star cast is huge, he also includes the beautiful lasses in the form of the long-legged Yana Gupta and the buxom Mandhira Bedi. In fact, Simbu had plans to fly down Mallika Sherawat. But apparently that didn't work out.

But Simbu has managed to wrest more sequences from Mandira. "We have shot a few more scenes involving Mandhira Bedi. She was gracious enough to do accept our request to act few more scenes, when we called her recently".

A song with actress Namitha is to be canned shortly. "On the whole, the film has a modern and trendy feel".

On the movie, he says, "the first few minutes in the beginning would be quite innovative and impressive. Yuvan Shankar Raja's music and Balakumaran's dialogues would add strength to the movie.

The experience of Manmadhan has been so good for Simbu that he wants to have another go at direction. "Manmadhan has emboldened me to try my hand to direct in future."

All told, Manmadhan would stay fresh in the minds of the audience in the years to come, he says.

Tall claims. Hmm, let's see.
