There is not much happening in terms of hits for Prashanth. But this talented actor is however undeterred and going ahead with his plans.

He is now ready to join hands with another talented director. Susi Ganesan, with whom he did Virumbukirein, is directing him for a new movie named Sakkarai.

Director Susi Ganean, who directed the sensitive Five Star, is all set to do this movie for Sundari Films that Sathyaraj starrer Adithadi. Karthik Raja would be scoring the music, while story, screenplay, dialogues and direction are by Susi Ganesan.

The movie would go to floors this November. The director who recently won the State award for best director and best screenplay writer in Virumbukiren and Five Star, says, "Sakkarai would be action packed village subject, which would showcase Prashanth in a different role altogether."

Vadivelu and Nasser also play important roles in the movie.

So Sakkarai (sugar) will hopefully give good news to Prashanth.
