'Lingaa' is in the making and is planned to be wrapped up soon for release in December this year. As the team is pacing fast through the shooting sessions, currently underway in Hyderabad at Ramoji Film City, with Rajinikanth, Anushka, Santhanam and Jagapathi Babu on the sets, we are fed in with the next insight into the story. It is already known that the film will be based on roles played by Rajinikanth, at various time eras - this is, in fact, why the residential portions of the Mysore Palace has been earmarked for shooting, taking the shooting for earlier eras into consideration. The next input revealed that Rajinikanth will play a role in the British-ruled-India time period; this is where British actress Lauren Irwin will be seen in Kolly frames.

The latest feed suggests the particular role that Superstar will be playing in this time-set - it has been revealed that Rajini plays a Collector with the British government. Director KS Ravikumar is gearing up with the team to complete all schedules on time. At this rate, there is bound to be good news soon, about AR Rahman's album for the film, launching in the coming months.
