Vijay Sethupathi irked about 'Edakku'

A couple of days back the poster of a new film titled as Edakku` was unveiled. The poster had Vijay Sethupathi in a scary look and the fans and film buffs though it will be his new film in tamil.
Later it was revealed that it is not a new Tamil film but it is the dubbed version of Kannada film Akhadha` directed by S.Sivan in which Vijay Sethupathi acted as the lead villain before he became popular as a hero in Tamil cinema. Trying to cash in on the popularity of the actor, the producers of the Kannada film have dubbed it and releasing here and they have given prominence to Vijay Sethupathi`s inclusion in the film for promotions
This however has perturbed the Pizza` star. He has said in a recent interview that he acted in the Kannada film seven years ago and appears only in four scenes in the film. However the producers are promoting the Tamil versions with his pictures which may mislead the audience to the theatres who will think he plays lead hero in the film.
Vijay Sethupathi said his only concern is that audience should not be cheated by someone using his name. He also clarified that he has played only a minor role in the film and he has not dubbed for his character in the dubbed version of the film.
