A couple of days back, it was being told that actor Karthi’s ‘Madras’ directed by Pa.Ranjith of ‘Attakathi’ fame will release in July. Now it is being said that the film is likely to hit the screens in the July 3rd week.

Meantime actor Dhanush’s 25th film and also his production venture ‘Vela Illa Pattadhari’ is also likely to release around the same time. This film is the debut directorial of acclaimed cinematographer Velraj.

Songs scored by Anirudh for VIP have released a few months back and they have been topping the charts. The two and a half minute trailer of the film that was released today vouches for a perfect commercial treat with right mix of sentiment, comedy, romance and action. The film stars Samuthirakani and Saranya as Dhanush’s parents while Amala Paul plays his love interest. Ace comedian Vivekh is also included in the cast.

On the other hand the first look of ‘Madras’ a couple of days back after the completion of the entire shoot. The songs composed by Santhosh Narayanan will hit the audio market on June 23 and the trailer is yet to be released. Catherine Theresa makes her debut in Kollywood with this film.
