Nayanthara’s performance as the female protagonist in ‘Nee Enge En Anbe’ (‘Anamika’ in Telugu) that released yesterday (May 1) is receiving enormous appreciation from fans and critics alike. The bilingual remake of Bollywood film ‘Kahani’ has been directed by National Award winning director Shekar Kammula.

Speaking about her role in the film in an interview, Nayanthara has revealed that before the producers approaching her for the remake, her friends in Mumbai insisted her to watch ‘Kahani’ when it released in 2012. After a year the ‘Raja Rani’ actress had received the call from the producers and director Shekar Kammula for its remake.

Nayanthara was initially reluctant to accept the offer since she had to allocate 45 days call sheet without a gap, for the role. She was busy with other projects at that time. However she made up her mind to go for a single stretch shooting for her role in the film since she understood the importance of continuity of the character. And the decision has paid well.
