Actor Vijay who stuck to towards romantic and family oriented subjects in the initial stages of his career has today emerged as the top ranking mass hero thanks to his films like Thirumalai, Ghillie and Thirupachi. Thought the first two films in the list were super hits it Thirupachi that elevated Vijay as the mass star especially in towns and rural centers.

Perarasu, the direcor who debuted with Thirupachi has said in a recent interview that young heroes should avoid build up scenes, punch dialogues and self praising songs. They cannot use them just because these are used in Rajini, Vijay and Ajith films. The three actors did not become stars over night and they added mass elements in their films gradually and that’s why they have been accepted as mass heroes.

Perarusu also recalled how Vijay hesitated to dance in ‘Nee Endha Ooru’ song since he felt the verses in the song exaggerated his mass status. Perarasu had to convince him to dance in the song.

Perarasu has ended his speech saying young heroes should follow Vijay in this regard.
