It is reported in a few sections of media that superstar Rajnikanth is thinking of calling it quits from Cinema after the release of Kochadiiyaan. The Superstar seems to have asked his friend and ace filmmaker K.bhagyaraj, whether he should still continue as a hero while there are many youngsters who have started making wonders in the k-town today.

Bhagyaraj has said that he visited Rajni’s house recently and the star shocked him by asking such a question. However the renowned screenplay writer cum director said he immediately told him that he should not think of quitting given his tremendous fame and fan following.

Rajni is the star who is still accepted as a hero while many of his peers have shifted to uncle roles and many others have vanished from the industry. This seems to be Bhagyaraj’s argument to convince Rajni against his idea of quitting. Bhagyaraj has added that Rajni said , even Amithab Bachchan told the same words when he conveyed his decision of exiting the film industry to the latter.

It is worth recalling that Rajni thought of quitting the acting profession when his film Baba failed at the box office. However his friends and well-wishers thwarted him from going ahead with that decision and the star went on to give blockbuster hits like Chandramukhi, Sivaji and Enthiran.
