It was confirmed in a very short notice that Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan will be the chief guest of the audio launch of our own superstar Rajnikanth’s Kochadiiyaan. The films director Soundharya Rajnikanth Ashwin made the announcement by Thanking Shahrukh for accepting to grace the event, on her Twitter page, just two days before the grand event. The King Khan replied to the tweet stating that it will be his pleasure to attend the event and he was at the venue on time.

The crowd went berserk when the Bollywood Badshah entered the movie hall where the even took place. The event organizers welcomed the star by playing the ‘Rajni fan’ dance number in his film Chennai Express

While speaking at the event Shah Rukh had the gathering at splits when he explained how he managed to bring the right reaction in his face just by noting others reaction when the other guest spoke in Tamil which he did not understand.

He also recalled that one of his co-passengers in a recent flight jounrey asked him not to not to speak Tamil in his films anymore and said he must be a Tamilian.

Shahrukh also recalled meeting Rajnikanth when he entered a studio in Mumbai for the first time. Rajni was shooting for a Hindi film and the scene required him to catch the cigarette in his mouth which he does at ease. However the star was still practicing it during the shot intervals. Shahrukh said this made him a Rajni fan right from that moment.

Shah Rukh said, he attended the event for three reasons. One he is an ardent Rajni fan, two he is a good friend of Rajnikanth who helped during the making of Ra One and his family who make him feel at home whenever he visits Chennai. Thirdly he said he came here as a seeker of knowledge since the films made here are making the country proud.

Sharhrukh also appreciated the use of Motion capture technology, as one of the finest steps in Indian cinema.
