Another plagiarism charge on Kamalhassan

But as is the case with many other Kamal films, The tease of Uthama Villain has lead to a controversy even as the shoot has just begun yesterday. Online space is abuzz accusing the veteran actor that he has copied the photograph taken by a French photographer Eric Lafforgue to depict a traditional art form in Kerala.

It is unknown whether the similarity is co-incidental or the actor has acquired the permission before using the photo. The actor who is one of the outspoken celebrities in tinsel town is expected to come out with an explanation soon.

Uthama Villain is being produced by Tirupathi Brothers of N.Lingusamy and the actor home production house Rajkamal Film International. The film’s script has been written by Kamalhassan while Ramesh Aravind wears the Director’s hat.
