Samantha is currently acting in Anjaan with Surya and the untitled project of Vijay and A.R.Murugdoss. The young lass is equally popular in Telugu and she has quite a few interesting films lined up in Tollywood. She is part of the film Manam in which she has paired up with Naga Chaitanya, the hero of her debut film Ye Maaya Chesave. The films enviable cast includes Chaitanya’s father and Tollywood super star Nagarjuna and his grandfather and late veteran actor Nageswara Rao.

Samantha has stated that she is the most luckiest of this generation to have shared a frame with Nageswara Rao. She has said that she will stand at the spot and watch the senior actor perform on the sets, even if she does not have a shot.

She recalled that Rao, appreciated her performance in Ye Maaya Chesave and went on to state that she resembled veteran actress Savithri. Samantha has said that she considers this as the biggest compliment she has received in her life, since it comes from one of the greatest actors of Indian cinema.
