D-day is the bollywood film released last year. The story of the film traced the life of noted underworld leader Dawood Ibrahim who is being searched in India for various crimes. Famed actor Rishi Kapoor played the role of Dawood, in the film. The film had Sruthi Hassan, one of the leading heroines in Kollywood as well as Bollywood playing the bold role of a prostitute. The film also said to be having some steamy scenes of her.

The makers are planning to release the Tamil dubbed version of the film with the title Dawood to which Sruthi Hassan has reacted sharply. Last week she released a press statement, disassociating herself from the Tamil version of the film and she also said that she is going to take legal action against the producer of the film for releasing the film in Tamil without getting her consent. Nikhil Advani Director and one of the producers of the film D-day has lent his support to Sruthi’s claim.

However, Vivek Rangachari another producer of the film has confirmed that he will not withdraw from the release of the Tamil version of D-day and will make sure that the film releases as scheduled on February 7th.. He has also stated that Nikhil was well aware about the plans to release the film in Tamil and he gave his consent for the same. But now he turns red, just as an effort to please Sruthi Hassan.
