A senior director of Kannada films Chikkanna returning to direction after eight years with a touching tale of ‘Thippajji’ a real life character. Chikkanna faced ordeals in the beginning for the script but he has cleared all troubles and nearing completion of ‘Thippajji Circle’.

A real life prostitute Thippajji sacrificing her life on the urge made by her daughter, taking up social service is the crux of this film. The careful observation is made for this film script of BL Venu. It was Venu write up in a newspaper that was striking for director Chikkanna. He further enhanced it to the film script level with the writer. BL Venu story, screenplay and dialogue support has added for ‘Thippajji Circle’.

Director Chikkanna is looking at the human values in ‘Thippajji’ and not as a prostitute. Dr Suresh Sharma is playing the role of land lord and this kind of role suits Dr Vishnvardhana is done by Sharma says Chikkanna. I remember Puttanna Kanagal films style in making this one observes Chikkanna.

Pooja Gandhi taking on from Anitha Bhat who has earlier done photo session for this film purpose says she has finished three stages of ‘Tippi, Thippavva and Thippajji’ in ‘Thippaji Circle’. In my social activity I have studied the problems of prostitutes and that has helped in knowing the role better she adds. She is in 25, 55 and 85 years of age. Pooja Gandhi wants to dub for the film of all three stages. She even checks with the director Chikkanna sitting at the media meet at D Ravi Farm in Nelamangala.

Dr Suresh Sharma says the role with lot of emotions is nearing completion because of director Chikkanna zeal and interest.
