This question has been raised ample number of times earlier, but only now do we get a clearer picture of the film in the making. After his success with 'Peranmai', director SP Jananathan is up for directing his story, 'Purampokku', starring Arya and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead. Handling big heroes, that too two in the same project, can be daunting. But Jananathan is cool with his response. "I can make movies even with fresh faces. But the budget of my movies is usually huge, and to match up to such high levels of investment and expectations, big heroes are chosen.

However, the film will continue to be Jananathan's without any influence" says he. The director further added "Arya plays the role of a successful financial analyst in the film, while Vijay Sethupathi is cast as a railway Kalasi. Although there are two heroes, there will be only one heroine, and no romantic scenes or duets in the film. The heroine's role is also pivotal in the story." So what is the movie all about? "Arya is a financial analyst, a person who works with his mind turned on. The word Kalasi means a person who works with his hands. So Vijay on the other hand is a physical worker. 'Purampokku' will highlight the stark difference between these two" clarifies Jananathan.

Meanwhile, there is a buzz doing the rounds that Karthika Nair might be signed in as the heroine of this film. No official confirmation has been declared yet on this.
