In Tollywood, they surely lack the sense of irony. For otherwise why would they invite Chiranjeevi to launch a new film magazine? Chiru’s fans, it may be recalled, had only a few months ago ransacked another film magazine’s office. (The magazine had suggested that Chiru was no longer the Telugu number one and there were many young pretenders to his throne).

Be that as it may, at the launch of the new magazine, Chiru spoke at length about how he had learnt a lot from the ‘constructive criticism’ of the scribes.

The media too dutifully reported whatever he said.

Moral of the story: Stardom is mightier than pen.
