Last year was insanely heartbreaking for Indian Cinema fans. The demise of beloved veteran actor Rishi Kapoor came as a shock to everyone and fans still haven't gotten over it. Rishi's last film 'Sharmaji Namkeen' was still in production when he passed away. Now the makers are trying to get the film made as a tribute to the last actor.
Makers are trying to get the film made and release it on 4th of September on Rishi Kapoor's birthday. Actor Paresh Rawal has agreed to do the remaining scenes of Rishi Kapoor's character. There hasn't been an instance in Bollywood where one character is played by two different actors.
'Sharmaji Namkeen' is a light-hearted comedy about a 60-year-old happy-go-lucky man. The project is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani & Farhan Akhtar in association with MacGuffin Pictures, directed by debutante Hitesh Bhatia.
