Actress Rakul Preet Singh's latest film 'Attack' was released on Friday and it featured her in the role of a scientist. In order to promote the film, Rakul made an appearance on 'The Kapil Sharma Show' along with her co-star John Abraham, who is playing a super soldier in the film.

While chatting with host Kapil Sharma, Rakul shared how she bagged her first ever film role and revealed that her date of birth was an important factor behind it. She said, "I was in college first year when I was offered my first film. At that point of time, I didn’t know if I want to act. So I refused the offer.”

Apparently, the filmmakers then approached Rakul's father and tried to convince him citing his daughters date of birth. Rakul recalled, "They called my father and asked him to check my date of birth. They said my date of birth reveals I will be a big, successful actor in the future and they want to launch me."

Rakul Preet then made her Kannada debut in 2009 and worked in several Tamil and Telugu films as well before making her Bollywood debut in 2013 with 'Yaariyan'.
