Before he played the iconic role of Harshad Mehta in Hansal Mehta's massively acclaimed web show 'Scam 1992', actor Pratik Gandhi spent around 16 years doing theatre and regional Gujrati cinema. However, after 'Scam 1992', filmmakers saw his potential and Pratik bagged multiple Bollywood projects. He will soon be seen in films like 'Dedh Bigha Zameen', 'Woh Ladki Hai Kahan?' and 'Atithi Bhooto Bhava'.
In a recent media interaction, Pratik shared that his success in Bollywood will not hinder him from doing theatre or regional films. According to a report in ETimes, he stated, "My primary focus will be mainstream films and web series because I feel that I will have to prove myself constantly in this world. However, that doesn’t mean I am taking a break from regional cinema or theatre. Different mediums have a lot to offer, and I am keeping my options open. I recently did one audio series and am doing short films, too."
The actor further added, "I am also working on a Gujarati film and gearing up for the second season of the Gujarati web series Vitthal Teedi. However, time is definitely going to be a constraint. Taking that into consideration, I might have to take longer breaks between two Gujarati projects, but I am not going to stop being a part of them.”
