Marking Holi, a producer on Thursday announced a romantic film with Nithiin and the less-known director Ramesh Varma of 'Ride' fame. As soon as the press statement came out, many were surprised that Nithiin would be working with a "flop director".

Moments after this press statement, Nithiin made a tweet in which he announced that he will be doing a film with director Chandrasekhar Yeleti. This tweet didn't mention anything about Ramesh Varma's movie.

Today, Nithiin tweeted out that any announcement regarding his future movies will be made only from his Twitter handle. He indirectly said that the Ramesh Varma movie is "fake news". "Any official news and updates about me and my movies will be announced on my official social media platforms. DO NOT believe in fake news," the actor said.

Well, wonder why the producer even released the statement without Nithiin's approval.
