Recognition and appreciation usually holds immense value, beyond just the motivational aspect, and when it comes from a seasoned stalwart, it is purely magical. Debutante director Nesan has roped in Malayalam Superstar Mohanlal for the role of Ilayathalapathy Vijay's mentor in the upcoming film 'Jilla'. In an interaction with Mohanlal, he revealed how he feels about working in the film.

Mohanlal seems content with his on screen portrayal and he said that Vijay is like a younger brother to him. Impressed by his humility and down-to-earth attitude, Mohanlal observed that it is this quality in the actor that has garnered him floods of fans across the length and breadth of the country, irrespective of language. "Vijay is a modest and hard working artiste. He never lets the pride of his victory reach his head, and has always been warm to everyone. It is this humility and simplicity, that has gathered such a huge fan base for him across the languages, especially in Kerala" says Mohanlal.

Starring Vijay and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead, apart from Mohanlal in a key role, 'Jilla' is a Madurai based story, directed by debutante Nesan. The film is expected to hit the big screen in 2014.
