After creating hits with his trademark roles, Dileep is opting for a change playing the role of a magician. Yes the new movie ‘Manthrikathaakkol’ will have him don the role of a magician. This will be the debut directorial venture of senior cameraman RamaChandrababu who has researched much on the techniques of 3D film making.

Scripted by Anil Mukhathala, ‘Manthikathaakool’ will have much visual effects which will be shot under the guidance of ace magician Gopinath Muthukkad.' The movie which will start canning soon will be produced by Sanal Thottam in the banner of New TV Visual solutions.

Ramachandrababu, who had been in the industry for more than four decades had worked for 130 films in various Indian languages of which 'Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha', 'Yavanika', 'Dweep,' 'Ghazal', 'Nidhra', 'Venkalam', 'Sallapam', and ‘Vidyarthikale Ithile Ithile’ has earned him many important awards in the various state and national circuits.
