The early rumours surrounding the new Shankar movie after the super hit 'Nanban' was that it will have Bollywood star Kathrina Kaif playing heroine in all its three versions, including the Malayalam one with Mohanlal in the lead. But the recent stories has revealed that she won't be a part of the project due to the non-availability of dates. Earlier Kathrina had also opted out of Rajinikanth's latest film 'Kochadaiyan' citing the same reason.

The sources close to the director Shankar are now opting for the South Indian star who made big name in Hindi, Asin Thottunkal to do the role. As per early signs, Asin has almost agreed to be in the role that will have kamalhassan in the Tamil version and Prabhas in the Telugu version as the hero.

Asin who debuted through Sathyan Anthikkad's 'Narendran Makan Jayakanthan Vaka' has recently revealed her desire to make a come back to Malayalam with a demanding role. Hope this movie will help to fulfill her ambition- to satisfy the fans of her homeland with a Mollywood film.
