After a while, noted scriptwriter and lyricist Shibu Chakarvarthy will be once again penning scripts for Malayalam cinema. His comeback will be through the movie titled as 'Mercara', to be directed by Senthil. Shibu was last seen as a scriptwriter for the film 'Churam' which was one of the last from late director Bharathan. Divya Unni and Manoj K Jayan were the lead artists of this movie which was told in the backdrop of forest and its dwellers. Earlier in the late eighties Shibu had created many hits like Manu Uncle, Adharvam, Orkkapurathu and Samrajyam.

Many will remember that some other lyricists of Mollywood like P Bhaskaran, Yusaf Ali Kechery and Gireesh Puthencherry also excelled as scriptwriters contributing to many hits of the yesteryears.
