Amal Neerad, who has already got his group of fans for his technically brilliant movies like 'Big B', 'Saagar Alias Jackey' and 'Anwar' is taking a break from direction.

The cameraman turned director had earlier debuted in Mollywood with the Lal productions movie 'Black' as a cinematographer to director Renjith. Now after the latest movie 'Anwar', Amal Neerad has found time to go in as a substitute to senior cameraman Venu, to shoot the new movie 'Tournament' directed by Lal.

Venu couldn't attend the shoot schedule of the movie at Dhanushkody due to some personal reasons and so Amal agreed to complete the rest of the movie at this favourite location that he has featured in all of his three movies.

Amal has already shot a song for the movie which is said to be one of the highlights of this youth flick. 'Tournament', a fun film featuring a group of youngsters with Fahad Fazil will grace the theaters on the 23rd of December, as a Christmas release.
