‘Kutty Sharanku’ into the panorama list

Shaji N Karun's ‘Kutty Sharanku’ is the only movie selected to the mainstream section of this years Indian Panorama of the International Film Festival of India, to be held at Goa by next month. The movie featuring Mammootty, Kamalini Mukherjee, Padmapriya and Meenakumari had its premier show at Montreal where it was well applauded by the audience. The movie is also shown in this years Pusan international festival.

The only other movie that was selected includes ‘Keshu’ directed by Santhosh Sivan which was selected in the children's film category. By becoming the only Mollywood movie to be shown in the India's biggest festival, it also belittled the years state award winner ‘Oru Pennum Randaanum, T V Chandran's ‘Bhoomi Malayalam’ and a dozen other art house attempts which were in the race for a spot in the supreme filmi listing of the year.
