Sneha is relaxed now. For a 35-year-old Bangalore man has been arrested by sleuths of the Cyber Crime Cell in Chennai on Sunday night for allegedly sending obscene and threatening SMSes to the actress for the past few months.
I am relieved now. I had undergone mental agony and frustration. Initially I chose to downplay it. But unable to bear with his non-stop messages, I decided to teach him a lesson. Every woman should come out in open when they are stalked, she says.
On the trauma she underwent, the actress says, The man had approached my father posing himself as a producer and that he was keen to do a movie with me in Kannada. However, his real intentions came to light soon.
According to reports, Sneha lodged a complaint with the Commissioner of Police T Rajendran that the man Raghavendran was harassing her by sending repeated messages in the last six months. As per the complaint of the actress, he was repeatedly sending SMSes urging her to marry her. He is also said to have sent threatening messages to the actress since she did not respond to him.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central Crime Branch) C Sridhar formed a special team led by the Assistant Commissioner of Police (Cyber Crime Cell) M Sudhakar to investigate the case. They traced the mobile phone from which the SMSes were forwarded. They tracked Raghavendran and lured him to a coffee shop in T Nagar Sunday night where he was arrested.
