The latest war between the Producers association of Malayalam and Cine exhibitors Association, regarding the number of release centers, will once again bring problems to the films that are charted for this Ramzan. Cine Exhibitors association, the organization of A class theatre owners of the state, are in the demand that they will only allow the release of Malayalam movies in 48 centers.

But the producers are in the view that making wide releases will help them to bring back the invested money very easily in a few weeks. They consider this as the only remedy to support an industry that is already in crisis. They cite the recent examples of films like ‘Annan Thambi’, that was into profit even from its third week.

Anyway, this recent turmoil will affect the release of the films charted of this Ramzan season. While Mohanlal 's big budget movie 'Kurukshetra' is expected to grace 72 centers by the next weekend, Mammootty's 'Mayabazar'is charted in 80 centers all across Kerala.

Unless an amicable decision is reached between these two warring organizations, Ramzan too will become a lackluster, tragic season for film viewers of Malayalam.
