What do you think Roopesh Paul, the director of the Suresh Gopis latest 'Laptop' will be doing after the dismal fate of his film in the box office?
A thinking film maker he is, Roopesh has already started working for a new film which will his debut feature in Kollywood.
Titled 'Aattanayakan', Roopesh has already roped in stars like Prakash Raj, Sreekanth and Malavika to the play the lead roles. His Laptop heroine Padmapriya and another malayalee star Shamna Kassim will be also seen in the cast lines of 'Aattanayakan'.
The movie will have songs by Vijaya Lakshmi and Navaneeth Krishnan, both assistants to music maestro Ilayaraja.
The other interesting aspect of this new movie is that after Laptop-a movie completed in a modest budget of 65 lakhs, Roopesh is planning to spend around five crores to can this new Tamil film. Indu Menon who scripted for Laptop will script the new movie too, but will be translated to suit the Tamil audience by Pokkiri fame Prabhakar.
The director is swearing that this movie will be an out and out commercial fare. Roopesh who seems to follow the track set by director Jayaraj in simultaneously crafting art house and commercial movies, is all set to start his shoot of Aattanayakan by the 25th of this month, at Golkkonda, Andra and Theni.
