The works of the Mollywood's first full length animation movie "Manikandan" is under way in the capital city. Based on the epic story of evergreen South Indian legend of Swami Ayyappa, this will be the first time that the story will be crafted as a full-length animation feature film.

The movie is produced by Cincinnati USA, This milestone movie in South Indian Cinema will get ready for a theatrical release by Diwali next year. The powerful screenplay and treatment that the team offers captures the grandness of the legend. "says Nalin singh of cincinatti who is busy with the production.

After the Malayalam version is ready, the movie would be dubbed in other South Indian Languages & with subtitles in English / Hindi. The movie is believed to open up new avenues for the animation industry in India. The movie will also feature five songs set to music by maestro Ilayaraja.

The other highlight of this classic in the making is that superstar Mohanalal has readily agreed to give voice to Pandhalam raja , a pivotal figure in this epic tale.
