July 4, the American Independence day, has somehow become the lucky day for Dileep.

This is the most well known superstition in Malluwood, as he will be ready every year to make one of his releases on the same day.

Be it a Friday or a working day, he has even released it even on a Monday. Big hits like C.I.D Moosa, Meesa Madhavan, Parakkum Thalika and last year's Chess were all July 4 releases.

And for this year he has got another reason to make a release on that day. His new film with Joshy that has just started shooting is even titled after his lucky day as July 4.

Dileep has a new heroine in Notebook Roma and another debutante Mangala, along with the Siddique, Salim Kumar, Riaz Khan, Cochin Haneefa for the film.

In the film he is playing the role of Gokuldas- a taxi driver, who is destined to play crucial roles in many people's life.

The film produced by Ananya Films has scripts by Uday Krishna - Sibi K Thomas and music by Ouseppachan.

The shooting is progressing in fast pace to keep the date of the release.
