In the past, Ilayaraja was seen giving music to one or two films in a year in Malluwood.

Every year he just managed to find time from his busy Tamil schedules to create a hit from the one or two films that he did in Malayalam.

But 2007 seems to be a busy year for the maestro in Malluwood, announcing three films in a row.

The first to arrive will be the Vishu release Vinodayathra, whose music has been already in the outlets. The film which unites the latest lyrical sensation Vayalar Sharath with Ilayaraja has five songs in the album.

Ilayaraja will team up with O.N.V. Kurup for the mega project Pazhassi Raja with the stalwarts like Hariharan, Mammootty and M.T.Vasudevan Nair. The film is scheduled of Onam.

Ilayaraja will also give music to the next Jayaram project, directed by V.M.Vinu. The film titled Sooryan will have lyrics by Gireesh Puthencherry.
