Ore Kadal, directed by Shyama Prasad with Mammootty playing an economist is fast progressing in Chennai.

A major portion of the movie was shot in a tall building in Mount Road, Chennai.

The movie is based on Sunil Gangopadhya's Bengali classic Heerak Deepti.

Mammootty is seemingly inspired by noble prize winning economist Amartya Sen in the movie.

Narain also plays a prominent role in the movie. Meera Jasmine plays his wife, who gets entangled with the economist. Veteran actress Shobana makes her comeback with the movie.

Shyama Prasad is for the first time bringing together Mammootty and Meera Jasmine.

Ouseppachan composes music for the songs penned by Girish Puthencherry. Azhagappan wields camera for the film.
