Noted Tamil actor Sarath Kumar plays an important role in Hariharan's Mammootty film Payyamvelli Chandu. The film has Mamta Mohandas as the heroine and would be an Onam release.

Sarath Kumar is a busy actor in Tamil cinema and also the president of Tamil Film Artistes Association.

Amidst his busy schedule, he has agreed to act in a Malayalam movie.
