Karutha Pakshikal the latest film by Mammootty, directed by Kamal is getting good reviews from the majority who watched the film. But the problem that is faced by the producers is that the good opinion is not being converted into good collections.

Only sixty percent collections were registered in majority of the small stations even in the first week, even though the bigger stations registered around ninety percent collections. The film which depicts the lead characters in deglamourized roles also has posters and trailers of them in the same odd costumes and getups. This could have limited the audience from coming to the theatres and many doubted it as a very slow off beat film.

And by the end of first week new posters were added and director Kamal was seen running after channels, appearing in a lot of programmes in the promotion of the movie.

News is that more aggressive marketing is planned for the movie with new trailers and other advertisements. Anyway collections have picked up this week, and it is evident that the film will definitely breakeven and if this trend continues for another few weeks, the film will be listed as a good hit.
